One of the best, simplest and least expensive ways to clean silver jewelry is to half-fill jar with hot water from a tap. Add a tablespoon of salt (or baking soda) and strips of aluminum foil. Then, drop a few pieces of silver jewelry in the mixture. Cover the jar and leave for a few minutes. Take out the jewelry, wipe it and voila - sparkling silver jewels.
