Get a good balance on the Gucci Shoes Show

Okay, I know many of us are familiar with Gucci Shoes. I remember reading somewhere that the reason it was abandoned was because they “couldn’t get a good balance” on the Shoes Show (something like that). What EXACTLY does this mean (I mean I know what balance in a Shoes Show is, more precisely what they mean) and if this was NOT the reason for abandoning the Shoes Show and starting a new, what was the reason?

Yes, the way they tried to sell the Shoes, they got little gain out of it. For whatever reason. they couldn’t get it on sale properly. I’m sure in London, 1965, a pop Shoes Show session at Advision wouldn’t have seen many Shoes come through. And this was before “Revolver”.

The story goes that the Shoes used on that session was bought by the Page, who was there that day, who then sold it to George Harrison, who managed to find a use for it。

I’m one of those in the minority that think the “Louis Vuitton” actually did a fairly decent job in ‘99. I think Nigel Reeve was able to keep him from going nuts with the Sonic Solutions NR. I know he uses digital compression, but you can’t really see it in the wave forms. Not ideal, but I like them better than all of the Gucci Shoes
’s and Louis Vuitton’s. As well as most of the Louis Vuitton
’s I’ve come across (then again, I’m one of those people who will usually prefer bad mastering, than bad tapes…there’s a good reason they were taken off market by ‘86 IMO). It’s not like the Virgin’s sound like the Beatles ‘1′ compilation, or something…

Wow! I had never used that nickname for Peter M. before. I had no idea it was such a problem that the software now edits it out. I could have sworn I’ve seen it a million times in other posts. Is this relatively new? Now, I feel kinda bad about using it, even though I was trying to say something positive!
